Blue On Land

Blue Bayfield Believes that a healthy lake begins on land.

Why does Blue Bayfield concentrate on land issues when their mandate is water?

Most recently the BRVTA had led a fundraising effort to purchase the Bayfield River Flats.  The River Flats is a riverside natural area located within the Village of Bayfield.  The BRVTA has purchased the land and has transferred it to the Huron Tract Land Trust Conservancy to ensure that this valuable property stays in public hands for Bayfield in perpetuity

Market

Bayfield Farmers’ Market is endeavouring to have all shoppers cooperate in plastic reduction by asking them to bring their own bags.  The market will lend bags to those forgetful shoppers. The market vendors have agreed to work to ban disposable plastics. A water bottle refilling station is available nearby.  The Market has also provided water on site.
