The Bayfield River Valley Trail Association

Blue Bayfield supports and works with The Bayfield River Valley Trail Association. The BRVTA works within the Village of Bayfield and surrounding areas to ensure that local green spaces are protected and cared for.

Most recently the BRVTA has led a fundraising effort to purchase the Bayfield River Flats.  The River Flats is a river side natural area located within the Village of Bayfield.  The BRVTA has acquired the land and transferred it to the Huron Tract Land Trust Conservancy to ensure that this valuable property stays in public hands for Bayfield in perpetuity.

Bayfield Tree Project

As a sub-committee of the Bayfield River Valley Trail Association, The Bayfield Tree Project, in collaboration with the Municipality of Bluewater, encourages tree planting throughout the village of Bayfield to replace dying trees and provide shade and beauty along our streets.  Trees planted in the village help to purify the air and slow water runoff. To date the Bayfield Tree Project has planted more than 400 new trees in the Village!
